PM @YouLendEurope. Tweeting about serverless, finance, tech, and more... Prev: software dev, first non-tech hire @aula_education, consulting @McKinsey.
@jonclemonsjp @levelsio@stripe Interesting! What makes the business checking accounts painful now? Is it only the initial setup or also ongoing pain/problems?
Come work with me in London as a PM or APM to develop our platform which helps partners incl. Shopify, eBay, and Paymentsense offer flexible financing products to their merchants🚀

Excellent *financial* analysis of using *commoditized* cloud infrastructure (vanilla servers). It misses: i) the (long-term devastating) cultural cost of recruiting world-class engineers to do undifferentiated heavy lifting; ii) it's unfeasible to recreate noncommodity infra. 1/n

@sjwhitworth@scottymeuk Recently set up readme for our API docs. Not quite Stripe-level polish, but pretty great and strong features out of the box (algolia search, users w API keys,..)
We don’t use all the bells and whistles but if you want to see it in action our docs are at https://t.co/iLGwFLaSMZ
When you talk to a customer about a specific problem, they will naturally “focus” on that problem, at the exclusion of other problems they (or their business overall) is facing.
With this focus comes a disproportionate emphasis on solving THAT specific problem.
I’m trying to fall in love with conflict.
Below are some reflections on a tearful team meeting.
The lesson: dial up tactical conflict ⬆️, dial down personal conflict ⬇️.

@stephsmithio The 80,000 Hours podcast hosted by @robertwiblin goes very deep with guests on a range of topics (thoroughly researched, skips the standard interview circuit questions, 2 - 4 hr episodes) - strongly recommend! E.g. this episode: https://t.co/4TEOERuvg9

Starting a new side-business in 2020 with the right tools feels like child's play. @AWSAmplify gives me an infinitely scalable backend, data mgmt, and auth for ~free, @vercel and Next.js solves 99% of my frontend problems, charging 💰 using @stripe is bliss.
I still underestimate the compounding power of the rapid execution and iterated learning feedback loop.
A commitment to this, over the course of a career, is the closest thing you can get to guaranteed success.
