#tbt to our lucky day: a visit from the amazing @BetsyMcCoach! On Monday, she joined a joint @MILESLab + @JkayFlake lab meeting to consult on our ongoing #SSHRC project, then spoke to @Edumcgill about her fascinating work. Thank you very much, Dr. McCoach!
#tbt to our 2022 pub: Perceptions of instructor connections to real life & enthusiasm predicted motivation trajectories, + trajectories differed on grade & major outcomes. Ssโ open-ended responses revealed variety in โwhat worksโ--and how--for students in intro STEM courses.
I am beyond pleased to announce the acceptance of the first @MILESLab publication, now available as a pre-proof on CEP's site:
โYou know what, I can do thisโ: Heterogeneous Joint Trajectories of Expectancy for Success and Attainment Value in Chemistry

#tbt to @learning100525's 2022 paper examining motivational profiles of 3 task values, self-efficacy, & 3 perceived costs among undergrads in intro chemistry courses. One finding: Asian students were most likely to be in the profile w/ the highest levels of psychological costs.
Many congrats to @learning100525 for her 1st-authored study just accepted to CEP! The 2nd @MILESLab acceptance this week! ๐ Check it out:
