An organisation called CitizenGO claiming to speak for "tens of thousands of Australians" has been spamming candidate inboxes about anti-vax, anti-abortion, pro-religious cookery. Unfortunately their spam has given us all their names and emails. What should we do with them?

Effective algorithmic decision making will:

- Make assumptions
- Show bias towards simple solutions
- Trade off accuracy vs delay
- Take chances

These aren't concessions though, this is just being rational. We need a more rational strand of politics in Australia today #auspol

Similar story in Australia. Except I'd throw in time spent doing marking, lesson prep, assessment prep, mandatory PD, [unpaid] extracurriculars and more.

Of course all this can theoretically be automated or made redundant by AGI, but the broad scope brings increased complexity

In San Francisco for work and was excited to see this local event opposing book bans in the US.

Free speech used to be a left wing value as the most effect way to oppose authoritarianism. Censorship such as book bans should never come to Australia #auspol #censorship
