I walked through the mall the other day and there was feces on the floor.
Be respectful clean up after yourself and your pets. You know who you are and you’re what’s wrong with society
Vitalik acknowledges that all Ethereum L2s have “backdoors”.
I’ve obviously been saying this for years.
These L2s are run by large corps and they’ll eventually face regulation.
They’ll never be sufficiently decentralized.
It’s big banking 2.0.
I love to see more stories like your own @deekaymotion I can now see the future of blockchain has become the beacon for creatives and dreamers. This technology looks to be the thing that will push us forward to solve the difficult questions, but we must do it together and we should all make it our duty to protect the blockchain 💪
Allow me to share my personal story about myself, an ordinary person named DeeKay, and my life prior to the NFT madness.
You see, I used to believe that I was dumb, as I struggled to focus on any subject. My days were spent daydreaming and doodling, finding solace in my own art. I did dumb things here and there yada yada then I ended up going for art school later because drawing was only skill I had. I took my first animation class and found myself immersed in drawing frame by frame for straight 8 hours, amazed by my newfound ability to focus which I never thought that I was capable of. I realized I am not dumb after all.
Sadly, I didn't get to graduate. The 2007 financial crisis led to my parents' business collapsing, I had to step in to help. But I won't bore you with my money struggle stories; everyone has their own. I ended up okay! few years later, I was hired at a production company. They said they’ll pay me 50 bucks a day for sitting in front of a computer doing animation. I thought I was gonna be rich!
10 years passed, I leveled up my animation skills, freelanced for major companies like Google and Apple, and eventually settled into a steady job at Apple. Financially stable but there was a creative void. So, I spent rest of my day after work creating my own art that I am truly passionate. Then, I'd share that on Instagram for 7 years. Positive feedback from my growing audience, which reached 400k followers, fueled my motivation. There was zero money for doing so, but that's okay because likes and comments were everything for me to keep creating. Life is good.
Then boom! NFTs. You know the rest of the story. Fortunes came my way, freeing me from the corporate grind. I embraced a nomadic work lifestyle, supporting my family and enjoying newfound financial freedom. The days of fretting over an $18 lunch is no more. Never imagined my life would be like this ever and it's still surreal to me. Life was good back then but it's even better now.
You see, even if everything goes to shit and I am forced to go back to the corporate world, I'd be okay. I'd still create art for those likes and comments. That's what truly fulfills me - connecting with all of you through my art. Without it, I legit don't know what I'd do with my life.
Thanks for reading. :)
Fools will claim that the supply of Bitcoin is uncapped because anyone can create a new cryptocurrency.
This is like claiming the supply of gold is uncapped because anyone can paint lead bricks gold and sell it like it's the real thing.
