The Wurzels 'makes I laugh' & the excitement at AG has made him buy a ST. Retweets, follows and/or likes are not endorsements 'Life is just a bowl of All Bran!'
@CJW15_@BristolCitySLO@TheExiledRobin It was the ‘Subject to Approval’ statement that caused my hesitation especially with conflicting responses from the club to my emails but @BristolCitySLO has dm’d me, clarifying the above.
@BristolCity@BristolCitySLO@BristolCity I want to renew but want a physical card and I shouldn’t have to justify why. Contacted the club via email and had two different responses.
@eBay_UK How is it possible I pay for something that doesn’t arrive. Seller agrees to replace refund and nothing happens. She raises case and @eBay close in her case the same day. I appeal with evidence proving that I’m owed the item/refund and 2mins later you uphold?
@EE Just received your Pounds and Pence revelation…. Can you confirm that if I have x2 sims and a handset post 1 Mar 26 that my bill will now go up by £9 per month and not the lower, yet still criminal, CPI plus 3.9% #theftbystealth
@PortsmouthPort Just arrived to pick up a foot passenger, eventually found the parking. Cashless only payable via phone call or another app. £4 for an hour then a 20p convenience charge? Whose convenience if it’s the only way to pay? Another money making scam - All the same🤬
@BristolCouncil 3rd week where I’ve turned up with cash and card willing to pay for parking at Blaise and Ashton Court yet the machines are not working. I refuse to pay a ‘small convenience charge’ of 60p which is a mark up of 30% on the £2 parking fee.
@MartinSLewis Strange how the same poll on Facebook has a higher proportion of yes for both male and female. Demographics? Echo Chamber? I’d like to think this is the more accurate reflection?
I see ID cards are back. Many years ago, I had the inenvious task of being one of the architects of one part of last attempt in the 2000s - Enrolling the population. I felt physically sick going into work, and left the company soon after. A wise choice considering what transpired years later.
This is what I know. First, enrolling the population. How? Bank records, not everyone has an account, Tax, the same, NI, how about Children? DVLA... Passport data. So, it will need legislation and none of this IT 'talks' to each other either. ££££ in cost.
So, it will rely on self-attestation, this will mean that criminals can apply for a fake ID (and illegal migrants). Flaw 1.
What happens if someone steals your ID? How do you prove that you are you? This is 'non-repudiation'. The data I have covered, so what makes you unique? Fingerprints and DNA. There is a slight problem, that's the domain of law enforcement, criminals and suspects. It is not to prove who you are. So, want a secure system, it will hand over your fingerprint. For what purpose? Flaw 2.
Flaw 1 and 2 now make it an incredible target for Cybercrime. This is the same Civil Service that sent the details of 26m workers and their children's details through the post and lost it. Flaw 3.
Flaw 4, data accuracy, no database is 100% accurate. Even it was the most accurate in the world (99.9999%), the details of tens of thousands would be wrong, back to Flaw 2.
These are the major reasons. There are others.
Most European countries have ID cards, they have not halted fraud, theft, and terrorism. If anything, they provide a false security. Why? The terrorists had ID cards. Bataclan, Charlie Hebdo, Nice...
Last, most European countries have a stricter interpretation of GDPR, their privacy is better guarded.
Can we trust our Government not to misuse it? We get locked up for spicy tweets.
It is a wholly false premise, a lie, deeply dystopian, and fortunately for us, it would take years to complete the work.
It is HERE there is the uncomfortable truth. The current passport system is the old ID Card system from the late 2000s. Guess what? Migrants get a form of ID card from that system already.
Why do the Government need a new ID card? It ain't for stopping boats.
Thanks for reading.
@BristolCouncil Last week Blaise Castle meters were broken, today Ashton Court. I had cash and card. Ringo’s ‘small convenience’ fee on top of £2 is 60p - equating to 30%! Next week I will bring cash and card but WON’T be conned into using Ringo - a note will be in my windscreen
@NevilleSouthall I swear I just saw you in Strensham Services, stopped there on way back from Derby v Bristol City- if not you your double. No I haven’t been drinking 😂
