some other details: the tornado did not actually hit Borås. it started ~8 KM SW of the town. it did impact the tiny community of Arås which is the name that you'll see if you look for this event in newspapers.

the 1899 ''Borås'' tornado has got to be the most confusing thing i have ever seen. not because of the tornado itself but rather the EXTREMELY questionable things i found while trying to research it. 1) the ESWD sources a paper saying it had a 115 km long path and was 600m wide.
