Hi @RoyalMail And just how is this acceptable? If you have to park on a double yellow how about stopping on the road rather than make pedestrians/ mobility scooters / pushchairs step into it. @camcycle
@carlafrancome@TheSwan_Clewer@HackneyBikeFit@IslingtonCC Hi Carla - enjoying your posts but hoping that you'll be more active on your Threads account in future. Have found a lot of my politics and satirical X/Twitter over there, but UK cycling Xers are harder to find!
@Otto_English How about another game - how many of the 100s of 1000s of them working in healthcare, social care, hospitality & agriculture would you like to throw out?
Twelve illegal e-bikes were seized by officers in the City Centre this weekend as part of an operation targeting those riding illegally modified electric bikes capable of going at high speeds.
A number of persons have been reported for road traffic offences.

@APPGCW It would be far better to enforce existing eBike regulations. Many of these are modified to exceed permitted speed limits and/or to be solely throttle operated.
@Microlambert Frustratingly, Cambridge has a pending consultation on new road classification that almost but not quite looks a it like a circulation plan. I don’t think the political will is there to go for a proper one. @camcycle @cameron8172

There's the old test of whether you can smoke & drink booze at the same time; so both golf & darts, not sports. Mind you, pro cycling up to the 1980s probably not sport by this definition.
@PhilRodgers@paul_feasey Cambridge was about the highest remain vote in the referendum; given Starmer’s “make brexit work” stance the seat might be quite a tight race.
@edwinhayward Just returned from France. No potholes in the roads; supermarkets full of fresh food; trains cheap, clean & on time; turd-free seas & beaches. The horror!
@statsepi@MedCrisis Was once involved with a now defunct company doing genomic testing for dietary markers & offering personal dietary advice. But “eat plenty of broccoli & drink alcohol in moderation” was pretty much the optimal advice regardless.
@gnomeicide Cambridge will never have a sustainable transport network while it is dependent on the car-parking revenue of the Grand Arcade. Similar European cities have large pedestrian areas in their centre; we have endless queues of traffic.
