@StateDept He is not just a normal distant enemy. He is one that is actively destroying a 5,000 years old civilization, whose victory is certain if not seriously confronted.

In summary, the industries that are not easily offshored and are labor intensive are the ones with the biggest increase in price.
What I didn’t understand is why college textbooks increased in price so much.
My expectation is that in the next 20 years, childcare/nursery and potentially college tuition will continue to grow disproportionately. Directly or indirectly, all other industries will benefit from the AI revolution.

No one ever said UBI should be rolled out preemptively. It’s simply a contingency plan if the job market collapses and doesn’t recover.
Almost any major decision looks terrible when you strip away the context and judge it in isolation. Yes, UBI would normally be economic suicide. But if technological disruption permanently destroys far more jobs than it creates, then UBI could become the least-bad option to prevent mass destitution.
@vkhosla@vkhosla There are no words to express my admiration. You’re enabling those who are anxious for change and progress to make the world a better place, exactly the spirit driving our new stealth HealthTech work to completely reimagine healthcare in the US. Truly inspiring! 🚀
