There is no form of resistance they will permit.

Because the point was never to find a form of resistance they could accept.

The point was to make resistance itself the crime, so that the original violence, the violence that created the conditions requiring resistance, could be discussed, if at all, as an unfortunate but necessary background detail.

The trick is not complicated.

It just requires everyone to look at the resistance and never at what produced it.

They have spent centuries perfecting the art of controlling where you look.

On today’s Deep Dive show, U of Tehran Prof Sayed M. Marandi @s_m_marandi made three major statements regarding the status of the war that everyone needs to b aware of — bc if time proves him right, America could b walking into a trap from which we may never escape.

First, he claimed that Iran fired at the U.S. base in Jordan to *intentionally* draw a major response from President Trump. They calculate Iran can withstand all the fire we can dish but that America will run out of premium missiles before Iran does.

Also, the blockade is causing significant harm to Iran and they don’t believe it’s in their interest to slowly bleed. Rather, they believe the total closure of the SoH (and the Bab al Mendeb) will soon cause major economic pain on the U.S.

Second, if President Trump attacks Pickax Mountain, that is Iran’s trigger to attack energy infrastructure throughout the GCC countries, devastating energy facilities. That would almost certainly plunge the global economy into a depression.

Third, Iran is on the verge of formally exiting the NPT, and already considers it a dead letter. When I asked if that occurs, would Iran run to a nuclear bomb, he would not directly answer the question, but did not deny it.

Draw your own conclusions.

Maybe all of the professor’s statements are just disinformation. Maybe the professor is just trying to scare the west into inaction. Maybe.

But I would not bet the farm on it, because most of the things the Iran side says they will do related to war, they follow through.
