Prediction in @MarketingProfs's newsletter: "The Rise of Writing Robots brings about a new job: Editor Overlords who understand how to work with the tech but also have an editorial sensibility." OMG. This has been our slide for ages. We are on the same page with Ann Handley.

Greetings from @deepsami’s country house. We are building a super capitalistic movie critic bot with @YleCocktail people that will calculate ROI for every actor, director etc. and judge the upcoming films. #robotwriting
I've created a monster. I've re-trained @OpenAI's GPT2 transformer neural network on the Pubmed/MEDLINE database, so that if I give it an article's title, it spits out a abstract for me. I didn't teach it how to structure an abstract, how long it is, or any of the lingo.
@thebyrdlab There's legit AI transforming data into human readable text, e.g. AI sports writers who "cover" events when newspapers can't afford to send a human. Maybe AI could ease the writing burden & improve the readability of the scientific lieterature? @DrJHoward https://t.co/EnHfAavbNO
@statesdj@readabilitynews@thebyrdlab@DrJHoward We have a tool for writing if research analyzes data. Especially if the data updates often. Most human work can be replaced by machines, but human experts need to teach the rules for conclusions.
Sijoita meihin!
Make it short! Listen to Winston Churchill: "To do our work, we all have to read a mass of papers. Nearly all of them are far too long. This wastes time, while energy has to be spent in looking for the essential points". Reporting tips by @amkivi continues https://t.co/0DeAmmaWaj
Apologies. We're currently experiencing networking issues with our database provider. We're working on the issue and we'll be back online soon. See you in a bit!

‘We work to fix the misconceptions. To bring humanity up to “monkey level”. Then education can take over’ says Gapminder’s President @OlaRosling about survey results from the public in 14 rich countries systematically scoring worse than monkeys on essential global fact questions.
Hmmmm.... Maybe our robotic writing platform could help the mighty Gapminder to spread global facts... But first, let's help them translate. Just signed up to help with Finnish language. /Sami
#Gapminder’s tools are used by millions of people who speak English. We want to reach the millions more who speak other #languages.

Mimid's platform not only writes but also draws the graphs. In our series of reporting tips hand-picked by @amkivi we focus on stripping graphs to their simplest form. The post from @storywithdata includes an Excel file too. #reportwriting#robotwriting https://t.co/uWXOgqmVux
