I urge civil society orgs, trade unions, scholars, students, civil servants, people of faith, journalists who still have a sense of ethics, ordinary citizens who are paralysed by the horror unleashed against the Palestinians and other people in the region, TO NOT DESPAIR (we cannot afford that luxury). Justice can and will be delivered, if we work alltogether to make it happen. And we will miss intl law when it is no longer there (risk is real). So let's use it. Below are some practical actions you can work on, to make sure our respective governments stop enabling atrocities with our taxes and in our name.

This is really the only home she's ever known. This is her home, our home and it hurts so much that even though she's been here for nearly 60 years, she still feels this way. But my question is, is she wrong? My heart hurts so much.

For as long as I can remember she's always said "they can kick us out at any time." My mum came to this country when she was 12 years old. We were invited by the Government after WW2 to help rebuild the country.

You know, when I was younger my mum would often be a bit quiet when I'd go to protests. I always thought it was because she didn't agree with it/me. It wasn't until years later she said to me that she worried about me attending them.

It's a wild time living in the UK as a queer brown Muslim. I'm both furious and scared. I'm furious at the years of scapegoating of marginalised communities by the politicians and media and I'm scared for these same communities. The UK is our home, it should be safe for everyone.

The case on the blocker ban has been heard. The judge appears to have understood the seriousness of the case & we trust that she will be careful in coming to her judgement. We now await a ruling which, we hope, will be handed down before the end of July.

Labour didn’t win on merit, that’s abundantly clear. They won because the Tories collapsed and someone had to be crowned.

Fewer people voted for Starmer’s right-wing Labour than Corbyn’s left-wing Labour, and that will remain a reminder every day of people’s appetite for change.

I just went to vote. Got into the voting booth, sighed deeply and for the first time ever in a General Election, I didn't put an x next to Labour. I voted with my conscience and put an x next to Green. 💚
