One of my favorites, too. It’s a heartbreaking film, but it reminds you that even in the toughest circumstances, people, especially children, can still find little moments of joy and create meaning in the middle of chaos and tragedy. It’s definitely a great watch if you're losing perspective and need a reminder that things could always be worse. Kore-eda has a way of making such difficult subject matter beautiful in its own way.

Luckily avoided needing lisfranc surgery but I broke 3 of my 5 metatarsals and my left arm to boot! It sucks but I’m on the tail end of healing and I’m sure a world class athlete like yourself will be good as new before too long! The human body is amazing! Take care and heal quickly!
