Over the years, speaking with circadian biologist @SatchinPanda has driven home for me that there is a special value on maintaining an essentially orderly rhythm of living.
Meaning, there is a special health value for:
Generally eating at the same time on most days
• Going to bed at the same time on most days
The complex orchestra of our tissues essentially benefit from being able to form some hormonal and genetic expectations of timing.
So while it’s not especially conducive to an exciting lifestyle, it’s not surprising to me that “social jetlag,” which is changing the time you sleep on the weekends so that it’s different than the weekdays, has some consequences:
A recent study showed that a 90-minute difference in sleep timing, called “social jetlag,” can alter the abundance of six different microbiota in the gut.
Three of which are associated with negative health indicators, including poor diet quality, markers of obesity and cardiovascular risk, and higher inflammation levels: https://t.co/IgfGQegzuj
Emerging preclinical data suggest that our T cells may actually prefer ketones, molecules we produce when we're fasting, doing a strenuous workout, or following a ketogenic diet.
This isn't just a minor quirk of biochemistry - it appears that T cells fueled by ketones may be more effective at fighting infection.
Typically, fasting has been associated with a suppression of immune function, which seems contradictory to the idea that ketones, produced during fasting, could enhance T cell activity.
It's an enigmatic area of biochemistry, and a reminder that our biological systems are complex and multi-faceted, often evading straightforward interpretations.

Base detoxification at this time based on all available evidence for non-pregnant adults without soy allergies: 1) Nattokinase 2000 FU (100 mg) bid, 2) Bromelain 500 mg qd, 3) nano Curcumin 500 mg bid. Other OTC and RX drugs can be added. Everyone should be in action now.

@lauramatsue When some people say it’s all in the mind and you can heal by changing your thoughts, this just did not work for me. I tried hard. But after addressing the physical damage to my body I shifted so dramatically into a better place that the mental, emotional & spiritual side became
@lauramatsue Spiritual healing journey until I did a bit of the work on healing the body. The microbiome & gut damage specifically. Once I calmed down the inflammation & balanced out the damage caused by the trauma & stress cycle then I could think more clearly, I became calmer & more in tune
@lauramatsue Thank you for putting into wise words what so many of us have struggled with in life. I love how @AlexMarchEnergy teaches how the body gets into the vicious cycle that makes it harder to heal and break out of these patterns. I personally was not able to tune more deeply into my
Six minutes of high-intensity exercise substantially increases BDNF - a neurotrophic factor that helps keep the brain young.
Six 40-second intervals at 100% of VO2 max increased BDNF 4- to 5-fold more than light exercise for 90 minutes did.
BREAKING: The Pentagon has DROPPED its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for troops.
This is a fantastic develop, but it should have never been instituted in the first place.
‘I will never trust the CDC for the rest of my life’
Well said @VPrasadMDMPH. They don’t deserve the trust of anyone and especially those that genuinely care about patients
1/ Many people have asked me why more scientists failed to challenge our misguided Covid policies, which were often presented to the public without even the pretense of scientific rigor.
I think @elonmusk needs to see this. Truly extraordinary speech and allegations of cover up of mRNA jab harms by British Heart Foundation leader in UK Parliament https://t.co/uFz1JNtrOy
It's time to rethink the protein RDA, which is too low and was based on methods subject to incomplete collection and underestimation of amino acid losses.
Other stable isotope tracers by @mackinprof & others found 1.2g/kg is a better estimate to replace daily amino acid losses.
This is called transgenerational epigenetic inheritance.
Animal studies have shown that exercise-induced genetic changes are a direct factor driving beneficial changes to offspring’s brain physiology, cognition, neurogenesis, & mitochondrial activity.

Exercise can affect your unborn children's genes by altering the chemistry of DNA in sperm and egg cells.
Aerobic exercise for 3 months altered sperm DNA by silencing genes linked to the risk of autism, OCD, Alzheimer’s, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and atherosclerosis.
Sometimes you need
to simply say ‘no' to others
and ‘yes' to YOU,
so you can give yourself time
to recreate peace
in your mind
and body.
Choose consciously:
WHO you spend time with.
HOW you spend time.
WHAT you ALLOW.
