"Gaslighting" is a clinical term, not a synonym for "someone disagreed with me."
Real gaslighting is systematic and destroys your trust in your own reality. Let's stop watering down trauma terms. It harms the people who actually survive it.
@Belohame@onlystresstoday It's okay to be frustrated about how others perceive your struggles, apologies. Was only applauding the hope you had which could be rare in other people who carry a similar struggles. Wishing you healing and peace βοΈ
"Just breathe" is bad advice for panic attacks. Telling a hyperventilating person to breathe can cause more panic. Instead: Cold water on face. Feet on floor. Move your body. Regulate the physiology first.
@KrazyKaos009@onlystresstoday Language use might require some explanations. If it's physical tasks you've got, wish you the physical strength πͺ to do that, and if it's mental task, Wishing the mental strength to execute it. Just positive wishes, no therapy on CS.
Trauma responses nobody calls trauma:
Over-explaining everything
Apologizing for existing
Feeling guilty for resting
Assuming everyone is upset with you
Never asking for help
These aren't personality flaws.
They're survival adaptations.
Heal gently.
@Stopworkplacebu You notice everything because your nervous system learned it had to. It's a survival skill, not a personality flaw. You can be observant and protect your peace. Step back. Breathe. You don't have to carry it all.
Be a learned/skilled empath.
@KBthechosen@onlystresstoday It does matter. Struggling shouldn't be the norm, it could lead to PTSD, identify the stressors and find a way around them. Wishing you well
@FalseKiller007@onlystresstoday π«, try to restructure how you let your brain interpret your struggles, and let's believe positive hope would be constructive. Wishing you and your daughter well π
@Tonyhhp67@onlystresstoday All what you've mentioned sounds to be a lot of weight but it's great you could identify the struggles and we believe you're taking care of yourself. π«
@KrazyKaos009@onlystresstoday Good π, just make sure that you are managing with the right skills and attitudes. Use positive coping skills and not unhealthy defence mechanism.
@Chill_Guy4th@onlystresstoday Sadly, this happens on daily basis in most parts of the world. Just try find your own peace, and set adequate boundary to protect it.
