@HumzaYousaf Thinking about your “white” rant.
Are you saying that England having an Asian Prime Minister, Mayor of the capital city and Home Secretary, is a model country that Scotland should embrace?
Therefore, why are you the head of team Scottish Independence?
@sulie4real@Luke_B_L@Telegraph@elonmusk@HumzaYousaf I agree, free speech is sacred.
It is under threat and that is worrying.
As you say, strong men use it to uplift the populace, weak men use it for their own aggrandising and it’s power becomes destructive.
Have a blessed day brother 😊
@sulie4real@Luke_B_L@Telegraph@elonmusk@HumzaYousaf “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
@sulie4real@Luke_B_L@Telegraph@elonmusk@HumzaYousaf You are right.
And this is exactly what he is doing, focusing on colour and not the content of character. He is saying that those in power are there not by their own efforts but by their skin colour.
It is a divisive message and delusional at best.
Why is this not national news? #ADHD medication has run out across the UK. Thousands of adults and children have been left with no alternatives. If this was a statin or beta blocker then there would be uproar. @ADDitudeMag have you run an article about this? Does anyone know???
@autismadhdmicro I’ve just taken a week off as I was travelling to Japan and they are illegal there.
It wasn’t as bad as I thought.
My advice would be try to get a bit of time off, rest as if you’re ill and save up some meds for times you can’t be without them. It also helps to decrease tolerance
@noemistauffer A meditation practice called Samatha.
It focuses on the breath.
When I get that right and do a couple of hours a day it’s more powerful than meds.
@ArtiomSavastin@mouldyscone@AvaSantina That is exactly the same as saying “all lives matter.”
It is bypassing the specific problem being spoken about and saying, “this isn’t an issue that warrants specific attention.”
@AvaSantina It was a bit of an “All lives matter” moment don’t you think?
All genders mental health does matter for sure but there’s a very real problem with men in their forties killing themselves and it warrants specific attention.
A teenage girl stabbed to death while making her way to school has been pictured for the first time.
Named locally as GCSE student Eliyanna, the 15-year-old had been making her way to Old Palace of John Whitgift School in Croydon when she was attacked and killed on yesterday morning.
Eliyanna was reportedly stabbed in the neck after stepping in to “protect her friend” who it is claimed had rejected flowers from an ex-boyfriend 💔
‘When population size is factored in, Croydon has 0.5 "knife crime with injury" offences per 1,000 people, making it the 10th highest rate out of London's boroughs.’ BBC
This is horrifying.
That’s 1 in every 2,000 people in Croydon.
I don’t see anything being done about this.
Johns Hopkins researchers surveyed individuals who have used #psychedelics and asked them to rate their agreement with statements Before and After their experience. The statement topics include:
1. Dualism
2. Paranormal/Spirituality
3. Non-Mammal Consciousness
4. Mammal Consciousness
5. Superstition
Here are some of those statements and their results that really stood out to us:
🍄 The consciousness of myself does not die with my physical body. (Before: 33%. After: 62%)
🍄 It is possible for some people to predict future events. (Before: 30%. After: 50%)
🍄 Non-physical conscious entities (e.g., souls, angels, spirits) exist. (Before: 39%. After: 68%)
🍄 Some aspect of me (e.g., consciousness, soul, some form or awareness) will continue to exist after the death of my physical body. (Before: 38%. After: 74%)
🍄 There is a hidden or deeper purpose to life and all of existence about which many people are unaware. (Before: 49%. After: 85%)
🍄 Your mind, soul or consciousness can leave your body and travel. (Before: 30%. After: 70%)
🍄 Reincarnation does occur. (Before: 23%. After: 49%)
🍄 The universe is conscious. (Before: 33%. After: 80%)
🍄 The consciousness of myself does not die with my physical body. (Before: 33%. After: 62%)
🍄 There are hidden or deeper meanings to everyday events beyond both simple factual explanations and more complicated scientific explanations for understanding the world. (Before: 50%. After: 87%)
🍄 Some (if not all) non-human primates (e.g., chimpanzees) are capable of having conscious experience. (Before: 64%. After: 83%)
🍄 Plants (e.g., trees, flowers) are capable of having conscious experience. (Before: 26%. After: 62%)
These are just a small sample of the statements that respondents were asked to rate their agreement with. They concluded that "a single psychedelic experience increased a range of non-physicalist beliefs as well as beliefs about consciousness, meaning, and purpose. Further, the magnitude of belief change is associated with qualitative features of the experience. Future research is needed to investigate the roles of brain circuitry, context, innate dispositions, and experiential mechanisms underlying such belief changes. Furthermore, whether such belief changes have clear behavioral consequences is an important topic for future study."
We highly recommend not only reading the original paper for full context, but also researching some of the incredible work being done in #psychedelics at @JHPsychedelics: https://t.co/vxuSCEM26O
There is so much hatred on this platform.
People feeling good about hating the right kind of people is such ignorance. They are no better than the people they hate.
Nothing but misery comes from hatred in any form.
