Only one day left in Puerto Rico! A huge thanks to #witspuertorico for encouraging me to come to this new destination and helping me explore it deeper with fam trips and tours! I’m already thinking of planning another trip back 🤗

Tours introduce you to local communities, customs, and traditions, helping you connect with the heart and soul of a destination in a way you couldn't on your own. Booking a local tour also helps support the local economy of the destination.
Transformative travel tip #2: Take local tours!
Traveling is not just about sightseeing, it's about immersing yourself in a new culture and expanding your worldview. Taking tours can be a gateway to deeper and more transformative travel experiences.
This is your reminder to listen to your body and your heart. Forget what other people think you should do with your life, and make yourself a top priority.

I feel grateful every day that I have the freedom, flexibility, and ability to focus on my wellbeing and take self-care days as needed. And I am happy to report that I have not had any bouts of alopecia since becoming a digital nomad almost two years ago 🤗
Why?
Slower travel allows you to gain a deeper understanding of a place and its people, and can lead to more meaningful experiences and memories. Plus, it can be more environmentally friendly and cost-effective!
So I started a series on IG with purposeful and transformative travel tips to help people travel in a more meaningful way! I l thought I’d share them here too. So here’s my first one ☝️
How?
1. Spend more time in a single destination instead of jumping around
2. Explore beyond the tourist hotspots
3. Pick modes of transportation that lend to seeing sights at a slower pace
4. Focus on quality over quantity by prioritizing experiences that matter most to you
