@Variety Dave needs to watch that episode of SpongeBob where he tells squirrel jokes in his standup set and everyone in town starts thinking Sandy’s dumb. That’s literally what’s happening here.
Today is Firewatch's tenth anniversary. It remains the thing I'm most proud to have worked on. There's more of me inside of Firewatch than in any other game—and I have no doubt there are others on the team who would say the same about themselves. Thanks to everyone who played it.
There should be a middle ground between plastering someone’s final moments on your feed, and not showcasing them at all. Which is why I advocate for some level of warning.
There should be a mandatory *viewer discretion advised* label on any video of someone losing their life. Far too easy to accidentally watch a murder on your phone.
I more than understand the concept that an injustice should be broadcasted so people can be informed & events don’t happen vain. But simultaneously, the way someone is transitioned out of this world isn’t being regarded as sacred anymore.
