@chrisvanderveen@johningold@ColoradoSun@KFFHealthNews@9NEWS Suing Coloradans is the opposite of the public interest. If UCHealth has anything to do with the University of Colorado then the school should stop this practice or separate from UCHealth and prohibit them from using the name.
@PsrColorado board member, Dr. David Mintzer, is quoted here reflecting on contradictions in Denver's health, climate, and transportation policies re Pena Blvd."#transportation#climate#environmentalhealth

"“[The fossil fuel industry has] used fraud on a massive scale...And they have used their legacy and political and economic networks – lavishly funded – to capture the policymaking process in too many countries around the world.” -Al Gore
With enough health professionals and allies advocating for health and climate policy, lobbyists won't have the final say. "Xcel Energy topped the list of lobbying clients in the 2022-23 fiscal year. ...spent nearly $510,000 employing 8 lobbyists..." https://t.co/Na4IPnsfiC
Learning about hydrogen and our state's support for it make me all the more certain that it's up to each of us to push back. Our officials won't serve the public unless the public is informed and prepared to hold them accountable.
PSR CO Board Co-Chair Harv Teitelbaum's op-ed describes how support for hydrogen hastens climate catastrophe. The fracking industry is using hydrogen to bill taxpayers for fossil fuels that destroy our climate. It's time to fight back - together. https://t.co/MPRgTTNhXY
@SenSanders The fracking industry is using hydrogen to keep us paying them for fossil fuels that destroy our climate. We are out of time and it's time to fight back - together. https://t.co/SkXkiyhHb9
In Denver, the burdens of heavy rail traffic have long been borne by predominantly low-income and Latino communities near the rail yards and industrial spurs on the city's north side, including at the Suncor oil refinery, where a mostly empty oil train recently derailed.
This is Part 5 of "Down the Line," an investigation by Newsline's @dcwoodruff on the proposed Uinta Basin Railway project, which could bring up to five 2-mile-long oil trains per day through sensitive and populated areas of Colorado.

The @denverpost flatly refused to compensate for a paper delivered 24 hours late. Their delivery rates are through the roof and now they refuse to treat customers fairly, so they probably wont last much longer. Bummer
To protect the health of Coloradans, PSR Colorado supports a just transition off fossil fuels including a Phase Out of Fracking Permits by 2030. Please read and retweet to spread the word. https://t.co/gsinCk8Ppt
ALERT! Please send your message to legislators today. It's a critical time to be an action taker for health and climate solutions this legislative session and to stop false solutions from gaining traction. Thank you! #climateaction#cleanair https://t.co/6X9jJYajqL
An LGBTQIA+ work group, formed by the board, warned the trustees that maintaining the employment policy would have adverse affects on SPU. Since the decision in May, many of those negative consequences have come to fruition.
In the aftermath of that vote, people at SPU began to realize that certain members of the board had conspired to make sure the policy did not change, even though the trustees had promised to work alongside the SPU community.
