@nzclover Although with the current diagnostic criteria Aspergers is no longer a separate diagnosis, many people connect with that term or may not have received an updated diagnosis. For the sake of registration, either works we would just like to know whether or not the individual has 1/2
We are still looking for more affected individuals to be sequenced! If you are interested in being involved, including if you have previously registered but have yet to have DNA/saliva collected, then contact us by April 2019
My brain had turned to spaghetti but I left the #mindsforminds Research Conference yesterday knowing that the future of #autism research in NZ is in safe hands.
Join us for our public seminar on 15 November 2018
There will be an update on research and a panel discussion focussing on support available for adults with ASD in NZ
Spaces are strictly limited and we encourage you to RSVP via email to [email protected] by Novemeber 1st

The genetics team recently published results of a family, a DNA variation in a gene called coenzyme Q8A. It led to the family trialing an approved treatment (oral Coenzyme Q10). After a year of treatment, the girls have improved.
