@marcog59_@Helufcb@Y2Ordi Absolutely not everyone likes him, nor voted for him. The AFD is batshit insane, has been continuously rising and carving out more and more power in the German government, but that is not the fault of the entirety of Germans.
@Helufcb@Y2Ordi How hard is it to believe Americans genuinely feel positively towards y'all and really want to treat y'all well? We are a positive people, maybe it comes off as a bit too overt to you, but that's how we actually feel. We do like ourselves, but we really do like y'all a lot.
@CJLeung_DST Damn, even Americans admit we did colonization. If this attitude is the mainstream Chinese opinion I can understand why the Vietnamese have such a bone to pick with y'all.
@likeaprettygurl@scholliski It's just a small box of pasta that has a seasoning packet inside. You're supposed to cook ground beef in a pan, put the pasta and seasoning packet in the pan along with some liquid and cook it into a sauce. Considered somewhat low class poverty food.
@estherzelda0514 The suggestion to redefine marriage as including gay couples was hugely controversial and electorally difficult well into the late 2000s,and was very much seen as trying to normalize 'perversion' and open a door to include marrying animals and children in more conservative areas
@estherzelda0514 I think you might be underestimating the similar patterns of gay rights backlash and trans rights backlash. There very much was a campaign that gay people were trying to normalize being gay in the media and in public to influence children(they can't reproduce so they must recruit)
The climate crisis is the most tragic mass extinction event to ever face Planet Earth, even though it isn't the worst.
Why?
Well, because it was voted for. We chose it. The dinosaurs didn't vote for the meteor.
We know what is happening. We know how to fix it.
We don't care.
@cstsher @LouisStaples I'm not sure what would even work to convince them otherwise, it's more like arguing against someone's religious beliefs than political beliefs at this point.
@cstsher @LouisStaples I think this is causing a lot of fear and disillusionment with the order of things, and allows bad actors to appeal to a great fantasy of the past that they can go back to if the reins of power are given over to a shining strongman leader that they have a religious devotion to.
@laurenhighsocks @cheeseraven11 @IAmRachel20222 We donโt and never have, it was cis people not knowledgable about trans terms, or even trans men who are very ignorant about trans womenโs spaces, misinterpreting it.
@faultnourczars@yesvatore I feel the same, with dysmorphia if itโs not one thing, it would be a limitless amount of other things, while dysphoria is more direct and fixable. To me itโs like comparing body dysmorphia to not like a large benign cyst being on you, itโs apples to oranges
@cogitofu @ChloeHatesCops Itโs fine for someone to not feel that way, but implying itโs incorrect to feel that way feels like the same mistake a lot of bioessentialist trans people make by thinking their personal experience is the only โcorrectโ way to be trans
@cogitofu @ChloeHatesCops I mean some people just have dysphoria based on incorrect sex characteristics. If somebody said to me that I could magically get rid of my dysphoria by convincing myself that my physical features from my incorrect puberty were ok to have, that just sounds like conversion therapy
For the longest time, anti-trans organizations and people said that trans youth should be banned from youth transition because they detransition.
They've ENTIRELY moved the goalpost with the new study showing trans kids stay trans.
Now it's "Trans people are ghoulish/deluded."
