The most common question we got last week after posting about our new public mineral exploration dataset was "How do I see historical data near my own personal projects in Mineflow?". I explain how to do that in this video.
The response to Mineflow Drive has been amazing! We are working furiously to add more features you all are asking for! In the last 24 hours since launching, we have added support for:
- .kml file extension
- .kmz file extension
- .xml file extension
- PDF drill data extraction
Please ping me directly (or email me [email protected]) if you have anything you want us to add support for. We have a bit of a backlog right now of folks uploading data, but we are adding more nodes to our server ASAP!
In the next 24 hours, we plan to add support for:
- OneDrive link uploads
- Mega NZ link uploads
- A few other fun features ;) stay tuned!
Today, we're launching Mineflow Drive (https://t.co/CYGoXvm5tp)!
Most of the exploration companies we've worked with at Mineflow find data management frustrating.
In the exploration industry, mining sites change hands regularly and companies are always looking to pick up new licenses. If you're exploring an area and you learn that another company has already collected research there or drilled some holes or developed a mine nearby, you want to know so that you can get an idea of the geology of the area. That said, oftentimes when you finally get the datasets from other mining companies or from the local geological survey, the datasets look very different from yours.
Maybe they are in a different language, maybe they don't use Leapfrog, maybe they use Micromine instead, so you can't look at their geological models. Maybe their geologists use feet instead of meters. Maybe they've drilled so many holes that combing through them alone would actually take weeks.
Either way, you don't want to spend time wading through files, reformatting things and making sure they play nicely with your software. You want to spend time on the geology, not data cleaning.
Check it out and let us know what you think!

YC S24's Mineflow (https://t.co/u8vPfbJ0Pw) is an AI platform for mineral exploration. They train custom AI models to accurately predict the shape and location of mineral deposits, reducing drilling costs significantly.

Application-layer AI is about to hit singularity.
As foundational layer companies race to provide the cheapest and most advanced AI solutions for their customers… the application layer.
This is where the Karman network (alums at one of the largest end user experience platforms on Earth) is putting our mouth + money.
AI-powered:
@kaaj_ai - access to capital for SMBs
@mineflow_ - mineral deposit predictions
Valerie - healthcare operations
@MomenticAI - QA testing
Brikmate - commercial real estate assistance
@GlueAI - smart work chat
@paradigmai - reimagined workspace
@quivlyhq - revenue management

It’s Jevon’s paradox: the more AI does, the more we’re going to ask it to do.
We invest in the companies doing the asking.
