Allocation of land to salt firms was done irregularly and this has claimed community land, shrines and fresh water sources. Some of the beacons are deep into the oceans while others have claimed mangrove forests.

Salt companies do not have bufferzones. They affect the adjacent communities and learning institutions with foul smell, dust and saline water. Bufferzones need to be created
