While I do not know the faith of the lady in this video, I believe it is important to offer a word of caution to every person of faith, especially my fellow Muslims.

Islam teaches us not only to remain steadfast upon our faith but also to respect the rights of others to practise theirs without mockery, provocation, or needless interference. Allah says:

﴿وَلَا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا اللَّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ﴾

"Do not insult those whom they invoke besides Allah, lest they insult Allah in hostility without knowledge." (Qur'ān 6:108).

This verse establishes a profound principle: a Muslim must never deliberately provoke others in matters relating to their religion, even while firmly maintaining the truth of Islam.

Furthermore, when adherents of a traditional religion are lawfully permitted by the government to observe a particular festival, procession, or religious activity, it is the responsibility of everyone within that locality to exercise caution and comply with lawful directives issued for public safety. Doing so neither weakens one's faith nor compromises one's tawḥīd. Rather, obedience to lawful constituted authority in matters that do not require disobedience to Allah is itself a principle of Islam. Deliberately confronting or ridiculing what others hold sacred, or knowingly violating lawful safety measures, is an unnecessary act of provocation whose consequences should not be blamed on anyone else.

As Muslims, we seek Allah's protection in every circumstance, but our trust in Him (tawakkul) must always be accompanied by wisdom, prudence, and responsible conduct. We live in a religiously diverse society, and peaceful coexistence requires mutual respect, adherence to the law, and avoidance of needless confrontation. Let us therefore practise our religion with knowledge, wisdom, and good character, safeguarding both ourselves and the peace of our communities. And Allah knows best.
