@sw_holocron GL's films already support this, with obi-wan in ANH saying the jedi protected the old republic for 1000 generations, and then palpatine saying in aotc that their current republic had stood for 1000 years (much smaller time period than 1000 generations).

Much of the Farshtey era (story wise) was repackaged superhero tropes. Imo it was far less compelling than 01-03 and the work done by previous writers. I don't understand the fans who are obsessed with the "lore" of that era and I think they need to read more media.

@sw_holocron It's a neat idea, I just don't think this was the right time period for it. I totally get that it makes sense for Jedi to have survived order 66, but I'm of the opinion that most if not all of those survivors should have died out or permanently retired by the time of the OT.
