@esrtweet I was feeling sort of disoriented for a little bit, but now that I've been using The New Spell Casting (tm) more I'm finding myself becoming lazy in the good way every programmer should. i.e. "Why would I do this manually when I can get it done faster with New Spells?"
@joelgrus I've often actually wondered if I wrote better code when I didn't use auto-complete/intellisense. Definitely slower, but did really feel like I knew each and every line. Had memorized a huge chunk of stdlib and because of that could very quickly spot improvement points.
@mbateman What about it seems strange to you? Seems reasonable to encourage one's children's values to be at least somewhat aligned with your own, no?
I think of "AI" more as a system than a person. ML systems and human systems work better when goals are aligned.
@AntiLeftMemes@realDonaldTrump I'd never heard so many liberals annoyed that immigrants wouldn't be able to perform off-the-books cheap labor until trump got elected this time. It's fascinating.
@HuntsmanNichole@DefiyantlyFree This is why government is a fundamentally flawed structure. Competition is the antidote to corruption, but governments are by definition a monopoly.
