My advice for any parent of a Y6 who wants to help their child prepare for SATs this weekend:
Go for a walk with them. Paint with them. Bake with them. Send them out with their friends. Read a silly book together. Watch a funny film.
You can't do 4 years of work in 2 days.
I urge anyone involved in church of any description to watch this. It speaks not only to the abuse at Soul Survivor, but also to the patterns of abuse many of us have experienced in conservative evangelical settings. 1/3 https://t.co/uwttuIx0tb
@MrEFinch I'd have more time for children to explore and develop natural curiosity (in a similar way to EYFS) continuing on into KS1 and KS2 with a greater focus on play! Think I'd also have four day weeks and each day be just an hour longer and have three day weekends to combat fatigue
TEACHERS & SCHOOL LIBRARIANS! I’ve sorted my international editions & have 5 book bundles of over 15 of my books & audiobooks that I’d like to donate to STATE SCHOOL libraries. To enter, comment a lovely thing about libraries before April 3rd & you could win 1 of these. RETWEET!
Happy Holi to all our followers celebrating today! 💚💙🧡❤️💜

Children's Mental Health Week 2024 starts today.
🧵
The theme of this year's Children's Mental Health Week is 'My Voice Matters'.
At stormbreak, we believe in reducing the stigma around mental health and supporting children to develop healthy coping strategies for life. (1/)
@londonteacher_ We've been using sign in my yr4 TT intervention group! We have a deaf child in my class so they know a little bit anyway, but it's helping them massively!
Whole school got in this morning, took the register, binned off maths, got our coats and gloves etc on and every child and every staff member got out on the yard to play in the snow for half an hour.
Exactly the way it should have been.
