@ShabazzStuart Where is the subway ELEVATOR for people with ambulatory difficulties? For parents with strollers, riders with luggage, packages, bad backs, knees, seniors? ELEVATORS FOR EVERYONE!!!!
@ShabazzStuart When will 18th Street subway get ELEVATORS for those with ambulatory difficulties, relieve the struggles of parents with strollers, seniors, people with luggage & packages, bad backs, knees, ?
Start the campaign for subway elevators and accessibility now, with rallies, local community support,electeds, block ass'ns, senior centers, disability groups. Don't wait for the "years ahead" or 2055 when the whole system is supposed to be accessible.
@ebottcher@KeithPowersNYC Better bus stops along the route are impt. too-seats,shelter from bad weather,snow,& digital announcements of bus arrival in real time.Attracts more riders.Stops w. only lonely poles do not provide support for riders, people with disabilities, seniors, kids, pregnant women.
@ebottcher Thank you for your support for the Chelsea community.I referred to your MTA letter, including Brad Holman Sigal,Tony Simone,Jerry Nadler, when testifying March 25, at MTA public hearing,advocating getting 23rd St subway elevators in place.
@ebottcher@RepJerryNadler@bradhoylman@tonysimone Subway elevators on 23rd St would be transformative for Chelsea.From the Hudson to the East River,5 subways stations,only one,Park Av So,is accessible.Elevators for everyone-seniors,people with disabilities,parents with strollers,people with luggage,bad backs,knees.
@NYC_DOT We also need to improve all bus stops w. both seats & shelters. No waiting by lonely poles in heavy snow. Extreme weather will worsen with climate change.
