Review: Much Ado About Nothing from @crucibletheatre & @RampsOTM is a triumph - radical in its inclusivity, rigorously thoughtful in its approach to the text, and a hugely enjoyable night out to boot @LeedsPlayhouse https://t.co/2RrnTivqay
How do you improve on a five-star smash? As #OVGroundhogDay@oldvictheatre returns (with @Andy_Karl too!), find out how its creators have taken its lessons about change to heart, with a reflection on their tweaks to the show in 2016 & 2023 https://t.co/IG7C6bwc7e
@TheDanielKoenig @oldvictheatre@Andy_Karl I heard about that - sounds like an incredible night! The magic of live theatre. Wish I could have been there!
@claireyfairy1@oldvictheatre@Andy_Karl Thank you so much, Claire! Really kind of you. So pleased you liked it & especially glad we got to see GHD together again! ❤️
@Andy_Karl@oldvictheatre Thank you! It's such a brilliant show with so many layers to explore - it means a lot to me & I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to revisit it. Thanks for giving me so much to think/write about with your wonderful performance!
this is such a wonderful and interesting article!! also made me realise that i'm not remotely emotionally prepared for the fact that i'm going to see this for potentially the last time ever next week 😭
What I liked best about Blackout Songs @Hamps_Theatre was its splintered structure, a conjuring glimpsed through stinging smoke, and two addictive, haunting performances from Alex Austin and Rebecca Humphries
She was a former actor & she was so passionate about this work. And that (many years later) was my introduction to theatre - going with her to see shows as she prepped for her audio description. We'd compare notes on the way home ❤️
So proud of my grandmother & her audio description work going right back to the 80s. A friend of hers just sent over a treasure of a letter she wrote in 1988 & I was so excited to see this bit
