Argentina are the only team out of all 48 participants not to have a single VAR intervention against them, despite committing the most fouls in the tournament. Do you even realize how insane that is?
Simeone has committed FIVE fouls in the opening 40 minutes of the game and hasn't been carded. Elliot Anderson committed 1 foul and got carded..
Make it make sense 🤦🏼♂️
Correct me if I’m wrong:
Arsenal: Won the league this season 🏆
City won the league & FA CUP 🏆🏆
Villa won Europa league 🏆
Utd won: Not quite 5 games in A row to get Utd strand A haircut, Bruno equalling an assist record and the “we beat the big 6” trophy YOU spent years reminding US isn’t A trophy….⛔️🏆🪦
And Utd fans like you and the rest of you trophyless members of the big 6 think Villa winning this season when you are winning nothing in May how exactly? 😭
I was confident I could of played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had. I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision.
I’ve loved nothing more than putting that shirt on and representing my country over the years.
I wish the players, all the best this summer 🏴
Pretty simple, really.
The EPL has allowed grappling, blocking, physical contests between attackers and defenders at set pieces all season.
Adjudicating of these moments is inconsistent.
But one thing you can’t do, is put your arm across the keeper so that he can’t jump.
Being close to the keeper, blocking them, surrounding them and making it difficult to to get to the ball is ever-present.
But putting your arm across them, holding them down and impeding their jump in any way, is clearly illegal.
It was never a goal.
Right decision.
When Arsenal smashed Spurs 4-1 in February Peter Schmeichel was sat just at the front of the press box.
When Gyokeres scored the fourth goal Schmeichel stormed out of his seat to head down to get ready for his post match interview with steam coming out of his ears. He was fuming and clearly so, so gutted at seeing Arsenal win so well.
Any other team today, he 100% says that's clear foul and backs the keeper. Seeing him like this just makes that win feel even sweeter.
🚨 Paul Scholes reacts to controversial Man City decision vs Brentford
“Honestly, I can’t understand how Brentford didn’t get the free-kick there. Schade is clearly through on goal and Nunes catches him, then somehow City end up with the decision.
Those are the moments fans lose trust in officiating. PGMOL seriously need to review these calls because it’s becoming impossible to explain some of the decisions Manchester City keep benefiting from.”
