Today we were talking about his grave and I remembered all that he was to me, and how I've completely become a nuisance.
My dad saved my life. Not once, not twice all my life. But there are two times I will never forget.
There is a line that should never be crossed. When someone knows you're battling illness, staring down loss. Drowning in crisis, or walking through the darkest season of your life and they still choose to mistreat you; that's not ignorance. That's the intention. Cruelty during your most fragile moments isn't a mistake: it's a decision. And when a person can hurt you while fully aware of how broken or vulnerable you feel, that's more than toxic behavior. That's the absence of empathy. Protect your heart from people who show you who they truly are when you need compassion the most.
You’d be overwhelmed to find out that people play crazy games where there’s absolutely no need to. Or so I believe. As in, in very low stakes non consequential situations, people would lie and even hurt you.
It would leave you wondering if you’re just naive and stupid or too careless to scrutinise your associations.
Socially… I struggle because I believe in honesty, loyalty… and I have no hidden agenda. I am still learning at my big age of 38 that everyone is out for themselves even at the expense of others, those that appear nice are truly mean and unhealed.
me crying in the middle of the night because i don't understand what im feeling. everything is built up, sadness, anger, and guilt everything feels so heavy
Statements like “she’s not yours it’s just your turn” “no one is bigger than the program” “date them all until one acts right” etc. has made yall so flawed man. People literally go into love and companionship with that mentality and wonder why things don’t last.
