Did You Know: If Salmo the Baker ever acquires bread in his inventory, he will go to either the Two Sisters Lodge or the West Weald Inn, take a bite out of the bread, and crash the game? To avoid this happening, he has been programmed to not seek out bread, despite being a baker.
This is beautiful. This is what I mean when I say Excel is great. People will just do anything and everything in Excel while Juptyter Notebook data scientists are patting themselves on the back for importing someone else's library and slightly modifying the tutorial code.

Someone make a "How It Would Have Ended" series, where creators drink and explain how their canceled series would have ended, and we get to watch actors play out the roles in someone's backyard or whatever
@isosteph I legit do find linen more breathable than a lot of polyester clothing though. Even the super light stuff. I've worn full linen dresses etc and even though it feels heavier, I usually end up less sweaty and warm than in even super thin polyester clothes

How I spent 1996:
My boss wandered into my office and said "Hey Dave, do you want to rewrite pinball for Windows NT?". I said "Hell ya" and got paid to write and play pinball for two months... while listening to Soundgarden. And kudos to the original designers for a classic!
Aug 2016: Australia’s national census night fails after authorities report a sophisticated DDOS attack that has taken the website offline.
It was later revealed that the so called “attack” was actually just the entire population of Australia attempting to complete the census.
I used to have a recurring dream that Google Maps had a functioning teleport button, but it was hidden under increasingly hard to find developer debug options.
Eventually I stopped having this dream, so I assume they must have removed it in recent Android versions.
I got a Pixel 7 recently and it's in most ways a very nice phone, but it really feels like some designer has decided to strike a blow for gender equity by making men feel the pain with phone sizes that women have been feeling all along.
In Oblivion, the Bravil castle steward, Dro'Nahrahe, accidentally had her home coded as a house in Bruma, a different city halfway across the world map.
Every day she walks that red line until she is inevitably killed by wildlife or some other roaming threat. Usually on day one.
