I find Diwali such a funny holiday because it doesn't even seem to really centre any specific person or event (like Christmas or Hanukkah), It's more like they're celebrating the vague theme that good prevails over evil, so they light candles and chill. It's so abstract.
NON STOP FIRECRACKERS, BOMBS AND NUISANCE IN MALAD EAST AREA SINCE 11 PM till NOW -7 AM. Not a single minute of sleep!!!! I made a police complaint at 5 AM, but there has been no action.
WHAT IS @MumbaiPolice@mybmc doing???
Are you so handicapped that you cannot stop this?
the problem with indians is that 99% of the times they don’t know what exactly the product is and what it does/how it helps (and won’t even try to get informed) but will jump on with all the other ignorant brown sepoys who can’t see another Indian succeed in something innovative
So, @BeerBicepsGuy didn’t disclose this while endorsing the fancy toy made for the uber-rich. @theliverdoc dug up this information and quoted an @Inc42 report. And, as you can see in the graphic below, Raj Shamani is also listed among Temple’s angel investors.
So, is this why Mr Goyal appeared wearing Temple during his podcast with Shamani? Isn’t there a potential conflict of interest here that people should have been made aware of?
Ethical standards seem to have gone for a toss. The influencer economy is increasingly about making obscene amounts of money, selling YouTube courses (that’s fine) and then using that money to make even more through questionable practices.
Italy is basically a third world country with a failing economy, aging population and crazy taxes
Rome is all this multiplied by terrible accommodations, overtourism, and complete lack of proper coffeeshops with good coffee, wifi and laptop places (ironic given Italy was one of the pioneers of coffee in Europe)
but man the amount of culture and history is so insane here i would move to this city in a blink of an eye
and i don’t even mention the amazing food (although probably too much carbs), friendly and open people (complete opposite of Switzerland/Germany), beautiful language and amazing climate (i’m wearing a shirt in November!)
Italy has such a crazy cultural capital, so sad the italian government is not using and abusing it to attract expats and businesses
i am convinced a proper nomad visa program + lower taxes and social contributions for expats would bring its economy to the top of europe in a couple of years
@ermaligno126@Samnitex9aa oggi come oggi l’india non può essere messa sullo stesso piatto insieme a pak e bangladesh perché vuol dire che non hai idea ne di geopolitica ne di economia
The world is celebrating Diwali by bursting crackers. My dog is spending the night hiding under the bed, trembling in fear.
Meanwhile, people with asthma are breathing polluted air, elderly people and babies are struggling with the noise, heart patients may experience distress, and birds and stray animals have nowhere to escape.
At what point did our idea of celebration become so insensitive to the people and living beings around us?
Your celebration shouldn’t have to come at the cost of someone else’s health, peace or well-being.
And before anyone makes this about religion or communalism, I celebrate Diwali too. This isn’t about religion. It’s about basic civic sense and empathy.
