BMC's announcement today on potholes in Mumbai. 🚨🚨
BMC commissioner has asked engineers from all wards to go on-ground on two wheeler every two days, identify potholes and fix it.
Potholes to be filled in SQUARE SHAPE!

👉 Potholes must be identified proactively and filled immediately. Engineers should not wait for complaints.
Assistant Engineers (AE) in all 227 wards must:
👉Conduct daily visits to their areas.
👉 Use two-wheelers to inspect roads every two days for better visibility.
👉 Potholes must be filled when still small (6 to 12 inches).
👉 Potholes should be filled in a square shape, not uneven.
👉 Roads that appear damaged or unsafe will attract strict action from BMC commissioner.
👉 Mastic asphalt is to be used on roads wider than 6 meters.
👉 Geo-polymer concrete to be used on select roads.
👉 No desk-based review. All inspections and follow-ups must happen on-field.
👉 Pothole filling should be done faster on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) due to lighter traffic.
👉 Route plans to be created in advance for efficient daily execution.
👉 Contractors appointed for Mastic cookers must ensure uninterrupted supply via GPS based trucks.

Folks Pl see Minister @DKShivakumar it is not difficult to keep our city clean. E city has done this. Ask them to train and help BBMP @BBMPCOMM Rao avare Pl adopt E city standards. Pick up one ward and ask them to help you out. Maybe koramangala @kris_sg
