Shocking Child Abuse Case at Bengaluru Corporate Daycare

A disturbing case of child abuse has surfaced at a daycare center operating inside a major corporate campus, prompting swift police action. The #HAL Police have registered an FIR against five staff members of the Society General Baby Care center, located within the #Capgemini Technology Services India premises at Brookefield in #Bengaluru.

According to the complaint, the staff allegedly subjected infants and toddlers to horrifying acts of cruelty whenever they cried or resisted. The FIR states that children were placed inside washing machines to frighten them, forced to sit on commodes while water pipes were shoved into their mouths, locked alone in bathrooms for long periods and subjected to other forms of physical torture.The abuse came to light after video clips showing distressed children were leaked on social media. The child helpline was alerted on June 25 and later submitted the videos as evidence to the police, leading to the formal registration of the case.

The accused staff members identified as Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Bhavani, Sindhu, and Bindu have been booked under Section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act.

DCP Whitefield Division Saidulu Adavath stated: “One FIR has been registered under the Juvenile Justice Act against the daycare in-charge and maids. Further investigation is being conducted by the HAL Police Inspector.”
