"My hope is, whoever is around me should succeed. I want 2 lift a messenger 2 become a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Yes, a messenger should become a CEO, that's the highest level of success & if that happens, i will b so excited. That's my hope!" ~Sen.Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, phD
Want to know who succeeds the most—and the least—in today’s world of work?
According to Adam Grant, it’s the same type of person:
Givers.
Here’s why: 👇
In a significant step towards ensuring a sustainable power supply across Kano State, I flagged-off the distribution of 500 electricity transformers to all the 44 Local Government Areas of our state.
The 500 transformers, procured from reputable companies outside Nigeria, form the first phase of the distribution to communities in need.
I also emphasised that this initiative marks a crucial milestone in fulfilling our administration's campaign promises, particularly to rural communities that have long been deprived of access to electricity.
The newly acquired transformers include 500, 300 and 200 KVA units, which will be distributed to communities based on their specific needs.
In the same vein, I announced that the state-owned Electricity Company has begun evacuating power from the 10-megawatt Tiga Hydro-Power Generation Plant. I am confident that this project will significantly boost energy supply and, consequently, the state's economy. - AKY
The tragic fire at the Farm Centre GSM Market in Kano, which was caused by a battery explosion is another reminder of how dangerous electrical equipments can be.
I extend my profound sympathy to the affected businesses in this difficult time. For a tragedy like this to happen while we are in the midst of Eid celebrations is indeed a test from Allah. It also calls for total submission to his will, and it is a call for prayers for his mercy and safety.
While also extending a hand of solidarity to the market’s leadership and the Kano State Government, they must address safety in our markets by enacting effective regulations for the handling of energy production equipments. - RMK
My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments in Nigeria.
I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and products of political mischief.
I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events and I will continue to do so for the time being.
In this regard, I urge the public to only engage statements that come from my public handles and other official sources. - RMK
