A great morning of sports for KS1. It was lovely to see everyone trying their best and cheering on their friends! @HeadLHS @LHS_Watford @MrsBygraveLHS

The children in year 1 came in from lunch to discover that their rainforests had been destroyed. We then discussed the impact of deforestation on the animals, people and the rest of the Earth and made posters about protecting the rainforest @LHS_Watford @HeadLHS @MrsBygraveLHS

Amazing rainforest creations in year 1 this afternoon. Each group made a different layer of the rainforest and then we put them all together to compare each layer. It was amazing to see your teamwork and cooperation! @HeadLHS @LHS_Watford @ECOLHS1 @MrsBygraveLHS

Elm class tasted foods that grow in the rainforest today. Coffee and dark chocolate weren’t many children’s favourite, but we loved the banana smoothies! It was interesting to learn about how they grow and get from the rainforest to our plates @HeadLHS @LHS_Watford @MrsBygraveLHS

Elm class love African drumming lessons with Mr Macondo. We are learning about beat and rhythm. It’s tricky to sing and beat a drum at the same time! @LHS_Watford @HeadLHS

This afternoon, Elm class designed and built their own LEGO volcanoes. We then did a science experiment using vinegar and Bicarb soda and observed the exciting eruptions! @LHS_Watford @HeadLHS
