.@NMC_BHARAT kindly frame a clear timeline for state medical councils to start internships for FMGs which should be within 3 months after passing FMGE. Many state councils are taking months to even a year just to begin the internship. #TAMILNADU and #KERALA are prime examples. This unnecessary delay is wasting the valuable time of aspiring doctors, even after they have successfully cleared the FMGE. Moreover, in most states, FMGs are not even paid a stipend during internship.
What is @NMC_BHARAT doing about this? Instead of strengthening the country’s healthcare system, the NMC is adding to the anxiety and time loss of young doctors.
