Whenever you return to school, please bear in mind that you may not know what your colleagues have experienced during the summer. As well as being mindful of the children be mindful of them too. I say this as someone whose world has completely fallen apart.

Teachers have been on the frontline throughout this pandemic. Going far beyond the requirements of their job description for the greater good. Risking their own health in the process. And now the government has rewarded them by freezing their pay. Absolute disgrace.

Today we went on a tree hunt and collected lots of leaves. Tomorrow we are going to identify if they are from an evergreen or deciduous tree. I’ve set up my investigation area to entice them into the topic in the morning before we do science 🍃

Another insightful talk from @ShaunDellenty as part of #bedstalks event on LGBT themes in RSE. Shaun is honestly one of my favourite educators to listen to and it’s incredible how much you can learn from him in just a matter of minutes 🙌

Really enjoying the #bedstalks event on LGBT themes within RSE in Primary Schools. @moffat_andrew’s talk gave me great food for thought and lots of fantastic picture books to add to the Inclusive library I’m building in my classroom 🙌
