@ncte @tianasilvas This is a time when the students are able to experiment with the kind of writing that fits them the best. They can be the best version oft themselves and be comfortable and confident.
Creating multiple opportunities for students to write in multiple subjects can be very supportive. It is also helpful to have examples of writing for the students #NCTEchat
@ncte Hello All ! Kaleigh here :) I am currently a senior at Elizabethtown College. This is my first discussion on twitter and I am very excited to learn something new!
#ssmethods This is an example of how different classes can be integrated. You can create something from a "social studies" class and involve it with technology education and make something the students will never forget.
3rd through 5th grades have been working hard in Technology class! They designed a key chain with their initials on it in Tinkercad. When they finished they got to watch them print on our 3D printers that we won from the Lowes Toolbox for Education grant! #EveryStudentEveryDay
Collaboration is key to success! I can't wait to see what 7 TLCs and their teachers can do with Technology in their elementary schools! What PD do you need?

No matter what class, it is always important for our students to be prepared to stay the safest they can be. Practicing these procedures are just as important as learning any other subject. #ssmethods
Miss Niklaus is helping to prepare our K-2 students in the event we would ever need to lockdown the building. We do not want our students to be scared we want them to be prepared. #alicetraining#schoolsafety
Collaborating in this way is such an immersive and great idea! Seeing this in action and actually being able to talk to these jobs gives the students a first person perspective. #ssmethods
Officer Meade co-taught a lesson with Mrs. Olberding in Social Studies. Students learned how historians and police officers use many of the same skills to solve different mysteries! 💫
I love the student on the lefts creativity of where he is now ! We can also incorporate technology by using the adobe video creating apps on iPads. This teaches them the importance of sequencing.#ssmethods
No matter how young, I think it is a great idea to explain and demonstrate how sometimes not succeeding can still lead to positives and success. #ssmethods
Miss Larson and Miss Sleicher captured an audience of 2nd graders who were eager to learn about how failure leads to success (and the power of yet). Social studies magic! #csdcriticalthinking
