In undergrad I did a presentation on Gaza. I did my presentation and then at the end of I showed a map of the Gaza Strip over time. Then I put up a map of North America over time. I asked the class what are the similarities. The similarity? Land theft, violence and colonization.
🧵 A lot of Americans just don’t know what life is like for those in Gaza, so here’s an analogy that might help:
Imagine Gaza as Rhode Island. Here’s what reality would look like:
@Sflecce "We will never walk out on Ontario students"??
Except when you cut autism funding.
Except when you threw money away by trying to bribe parents with $200.
Except when you wouldn't negotiate over the summer to avoid this.
Except when you cut education budgets.
No one is buying it
If you can’t find liquid Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Advil/Motrin (ibuprofen):
1. Many pharmacies are compounding these. Call around.
2. Weigh your child. Use measured & cut portions of chewable or adult versions:
- Tylenol: 15 mg/kg every 4h
- Advil/Motrin: 10 mg/kg every 6h
Want to know why Pierre Poilievre is backing the suspension of workers' charter rights in Ontario?
Doug Ford's attack on workers is exactly what Pierre did as a Harper Minister and a sample of what he would do to workers across this country if given another chance.
I’m glad CUPE has agreed to withdraw its strike action so kids can return to class. We’ll be back at the table to negotiate a fair deal — for students, parents, workers and taxpayers.
