@HopeRehak Honestly, same! Hadn’t been since I was 4, then when I lived in London a friend had her bday at Eurodisney. I was like “this it is?” I’d rather have spent the day in Paris. It’s all so weird & fake? I can understand wanting to go once, but adults going several times is just… odd
@jowrotethis The screen glitching/not working or someone making a nod to Kornacki’s work on all the (actual) horse races when referencing a political horse race.
@perfectlyfine89 Yes! This was my guess yesterday given the Indianapolis car/racing associations (Ignore my evermore additions to just use all three spots to try and get mastermind points)
@ezwrites 🙋♀️ I moved to NYC in Jan 2021 and kept waiting for it to reopen post pandemic so I could go. I was devastated when I realized it never would.
@jaseokundaye @BeeBabs The funny thing is the US used to be on the schedule as the UK (at least for the end of DST), but George W. Bush (and fine, an act of Congress) extended DST in the US in 2005, so now we go back later. Time is kinda arbitrary!
New Yorkers—early voting begins TODAY! I have never been more excited to have a plan ready. Going to grab breakfast, head to my polling site to cast my vote then travel to see a matinee. If you haven’t voted already I hope you have your voting plan together.
@katereinking I was trying to explain to someone the other day why a lot of the shows I’ve seen recently were … good, but didn’t stick with me - and this is exactly it! They were written in a musical theater “genre”, when I want to see different genres in the musical theater medium
@allie_glick Omg! She sat right in front of me at one of Oak’s shows and I took this total stalker pic of her talking to Anthony Ramos that I completely forgot about until I saw this tweet.
Today is the 88th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, when thousands of East-Londoners stood alongside Jewish and Irish communities to drive out Oswald Mosley and his fascists.
Never forget: working-class unity can defeat the far right for good.
I want a “reverse Costco” where you can buy small amounts of items you will rarely use again, like specialty ingredients.
Let me pay $1 for 1 oz of fish sauce. Yes, I can get much more for not that much more money but then I’ll feel guilty every time I see it in my fridge.
