@MissCooke6 I have an Education Studies degree (which had some psychology in) and my PGCE. I will be completing a PGDiP in Mental Health Practice in schools in Ed Settings in my first year in the job.

And I’m done… Resignation given in October and new job secured. I’m officially not a teacher anymore.

But I’m also sad. I’m giving up my life long dream but so are so many of my friends. Teaching was literally killing me. I now have a life-long heart condition which was triggered by stress. No job is worth that.

I’m thrilled if I’m honest. I can it do this anymore. I refuse to treat children like they are numbers. I refuse to work like a dog for no thanks.

@hollieteaches I love mine - most of the time! We have them across school but you can barley move it after a few years use otherwise it loses connection.

@MissLeppard_Y1 I have one lined up later in the year (first one for me to) which will be able communicating clearly. I was thinking about embracing being silly, speak another language, not follow instructions from the kids properly etc

@mr_spayne @JosephOak35 @MissStanleyYr6 There’s absolutely no way. I’ve got 2 children with EHCPs who are working at y2 level so I’d literally have to get every other child to pass to meet that target. I’ll be lucky to get 70%!

@JosephOak35 @MissStanleyYr6 I agree. The head comes into class daily and tells the kids she’s expecting the best SATs results ever. I’m a ECT2 and it’s my first year in 6. It’s a lot of pressure!

@tanyaalex38 Yes! My sister had her car stolen when it was 3 months old. Gap paid the rest of the car off otherwise she’d be stuck paying it for the rest of the contract.
