My husband’s dad just tested positive yesterday, so did my brother in law, and I just got over it. We all made it 3 years without getting it because we were careful, got vax’d and wore masks.
Then, we got complacent and stopped masking…and that’s the difference.

In reality, we've likely had about 80K deaths, with another 20K to come as the last 20-30% of us are infected.

In the U.S., the half a million dead milestone was front page news.

Mostly thinking of folks at work, since my social life is nonexistent, but it tracks. It’s also almost always men, though occasionally it’s a woman who starts off calling me “honey” or “darlin’” or (real example) “pretty lady”. Too much too soon. Does this bother anyone else?

I’ve been doing some thinking about why some people are able to turn me off of even indifference toward them and came to the realization that those people tend to try to be buddy-buddy and jokey right off the bat with no other real small-talk preceding it. Too familiar.

So…kiddo has strep, I have pneumonia. Went to @ShopprsDrugMart to fill rX’s. Pharmacy assistant told me that since I’m already sick, maybe getting a flu shot is “not meant to be”, & advised me to take more vitamins and consult a naturopath. WTF is even happening?!
