We’ve normalized survival instead of recovery. People struggling with addiction deserve treatment, not a lifetime of harm reduction. I’m out here this weekend looking for 12 missing loved ones that their families haven’t talked to in years. The sad reality is if I find someone today and they are ready for treatment at this very moment, I have nowhere to take them. It’s Sunday, no intake for anything on a Sunday afternoon, not even methadone. 🙄
