Rohit Gupta, @PaulCalandra personal friend & supervisor at the TDSB refused to anwser questions from parents on the budget, drastic cuts to staff & valuable programs. Let's NOT forget he has NO education experience but was a failed Metrolinx employee who was fired.
Teachers unions in Ontario want to bargain early so that there will be no disruption in the fall. The government won’t because then they can’t vilify teachers and say they are holding students and parents hostage. I hope it doesn’t work this time.. #OnEd#OnPoli#FordoftheLies
The Ford government's $750 classroom gift card gimmick was insulting and admits that our schools are underfunded.
Asking teachers to buy classroom supplies is like asking nurses to shop for medical supplies before work because the hospital can't provide them.
Now we learn that $300 of the promised $750 isn't even new funding - it's being taken from existing education dollars. That's not an investment in public education. It's a shell game.
Ontario students and educators deserve properly funded classrooms, not government announcements that sound bigger than they really are. #onpoli #onted

At this rate, Conservatives are laying off so many educators, our schools may soon be run by kids.
331 teachers cut in Peel. Vice principals on watch. When will it end?
The Ontario Liberals are calling for 10,000 more qualified educators in schools across our province.

More teachers are getting fired everyday, and this time, it’s 18 in Brampton and 8 in Mississauga.
At a time when class sizes are growing and special education is being starved, why is @PaulCalandra firing the teachers who are qualified to help?
Make it make sense.

Doug Ford’s approach to education is a disaster.
This government has the money to pay 124 Metrolinx VPs. But when it comes to our schools, there’s not enough.
Doug Ford’s invasive, big government approach isn’t working and it’s Ontario’s kids who get left behind.
Brampton students are angry about the cuts and walk out over teacher surplus notices.
In taking action, students say, "These people are more than just numbers … they’re very beloved teachers within the school.”
“I thought the best way to get us to a level where our voices will be heard is by walking out and making it known that these teachers have people behind them, and students that adore them.” https://t.co/MrXdBzSw5z #onted
