Day 2 was so fun I forgot to take pictures! Ss coded their own @microbit_edu step counters and some even used a conditional statement to play a melody if they hit 100 steps 🏃🏼‍♀️🎶 Super proud of their patience and resilience as they navigated new code and debugged errors 🏆

@microbit_edu Pre micro:bits we started with some unplugged coding activities! Then built our digital understanding of sequential events by coding an animation. Up next is creating our own step counter and altering existing code 🤞🏻

Day 1 and super proud of my kiddos! They rocked @microbit_edu right out of the gates. The best part? Their faces when their micro:bits lit up with their code. That part never gets old 🙌🏻😍

Today’s theme: Roblox! Ss loved navigating various unplugged coding challenges and are excited to use @microbit_edu for the first time next week!

Yesterday day was Lego day in Grade 1/2!
✅ procedural writing with Lego
✅ Lego fractions
✅ building challenges
Student engagement was 10/10 and their faces when they saw their own success was 100/10!

What an incredible 3 days of learning, exploring, and connecting through Nature School @vanwEEC with Ms. Lauren! My Ss gave this experience a 10/10 and have shared so many impactful ways that they will help protect our environment ☀️🐢🦋 What an amazing opportunity 🙌🏻

We have had so much fun coding with @microbit_edu over the last few days! We started with coding animations, then thermometers, and today students chose their own projects: noise detector, light sensor, pedometer, and one student created their own game 👾 so proud of my Ss 🎸👏🏻
