Shittiest bank ever.
RBI should revoke your banking license forever.

They have freezed/blocked my account due to suspicious activity.

When I went to the bank, to unblock it they asked me for my aadhar card, pan card, came to my house,clicked photo outside of my house and me standing in front of the gate and bla bla, all drama just for the verification.

Felt like literally I have done a big crime.

Then they said Okay, now KYC done, within 2-4 days we will unfreeze your account.
Today it's been a month and still they say approvals from higher authorities are pending and still the account is frozen.

Bank employees themselves told me
"Never open an account in this bank, hum khud hi pareshan hai"

I have bank accounts with SBI,HDFC,etc but never got my account frozen due to suspicious activity before.

I was sitting in my cabin a few days ago, overhearing one of our relationship managers speaking to a boy’s mother from South Delhi.

Her son earns 73 lakh per annum and works in a reputed company. Good profile. Then she started describing the kind of wife she wants.

She should be tall, fair, very homely, soft spoken, caring, and from a good family.

Fine. Standard checklist stuff.

Then she said something that genuinely messed with my head.
We are a business family I don’t want my son’s wife to work after marriage.

Our relationship manager asked calmly, but your son is working? She said that’s fine, he can work I just don’t want my daughter in law to work.

So we suggested, then maybe we look for someone who isn’t career oriented or isn’t working? She immediately said no. I want her to be well educated, from a reputed college, smart, but after marriage, no job.

Pause and think about that - In her own words, she wants an educated, polished, presentable girl who will sit at home, take care of the house, serve the family, look good, and revolve around the son. Good enough to raise intelligent children. Impressive enough to boost family status.

In my head, one brutal line kept repeating - You’re not looking for a partner for your son. You’re looking for a well qualified maid with a degree. And a body.

And this is not a one off case. This mindset is everywhere. Educated but not ambitious, modern but traditional, smart but submissive.

We want the resume of a corporate achiever and the obedience of the 1950s.

Sometimes the problem is not the boys, it’s the blueprint given to them.
