Do any of my followers have interest in #automated#CI#performance/regression #testing?
If an amazing/robust product which you could use with just a single #include and a few lines of C/C++ integration code and no #DevOps experience existed, would you be interested in using it?
Michael Phelps is literally referred to as a freak of nature because of his disproportionate wingspan, double jointed ankles, lung capacity twice that of an average human, body that produces half the lactic acid of a typical athlete, and he is rightly celebrated for being the greatest male swimmer in history. Meanwhile, female athletes with genetic differences are legally discriminated against and harassed to no end. This is not about “protecting women in sports” - this is about protecting a very specific idea of what a woman is.
For too long, millions of Americans suffering from long COVID have had their symptoms dismissed or ignored – by the medical community, by the media, and by Congress. Unacceptable.
Congress must act now. Yes. It is time for a Long Covid Moonshot.
Me: Riding elevator wearing my N99
Stranger: “Are you sick?”
They hesitate to get on.
Me: “No & I want to stay that way.”
Them: “I will wait for the next one.”
If you’re worried about getting sick - the person in a respirator is probably the safest person you see all day!
It's not rocket science.
It's aerosol science.
Masking should be the default setting in healthcare in the new normal.
"Mandatory face masks needed in hospitals again as new Covid variants strike, professor warns"
@purposeday It wouldn't surprise me if there was an improvement in both groups, due to this, and the study just focused on the much larger improvement in the supplement group, due to improving genuine nutritional deficiencies. If I had infinite time, I'd read the whole study to look for this
@purposeday Generally interesting to consider all such social factors in these populations; but, how would that apply in such a placebo-controlled double blind situation as these studies? (Without affecting both groups)
@BillSpaulding I am sure anyone's heart rate would be mildly elevated in that situation, but 181, for a person his age (sitting in a chair, excited) is concerning... Why is nobody calling in a cardiologist for this man to make sure there's no underlying condition there?
We also still don't have data covering how #Covid can increase Alzheimer's cases because it is a recent viral disease.
But we know about other viruses. A study published last year using 2 large biobanks (over 300,000 Finns and 500,000 UK individuals) shows that increased risk for neurodegenerative diseases persists up to 15 years after a single viral infection.

More propaganda- the answer is simple- no. No you should not travel when you’re contagious with any disease, much less one that is disabling and killing ppl.
This faux “just asking questions” frame exists to give ppl permission to think about it as a tough decision
4.5 years in and the CDC are finally admitting Covid isn’t seasonal. Kinda obvious given the huge summer waves we’re seeing across world.
Masks & tests should be in the FIRST layer of protection - not an after thought. You can’t hand hygiene your way out of an airborne pandemic!
I can’t get over this. A $2 trillion monopolist just bought its way out of a jury trial. They don’t want to be judged by the public, so they paid not to be.
After 36 years of federal service, I had to buy my retirement cake because it was over the $25 gift limit.
True story.
Clarence Thomas took millions in what can only be described as bribes. He still serves on SCOTUS.
Also, a true story.
Just had a lady yell at me for wearing a mask in my car getting a pick up order, "You're in the car BY YOURSELF!"
I waited for her to get out of her car, pulled up, & called out, "Are you having a bad day? Do you want to talk about your feelings?" She shook her head & ran away.
“When they applied standard concussion tests to Long Covid patients, the University of Denver researchers noticed the same tell-tale issues…patients had effectively experienced a traumatic injury to the brain.” https://t.co/xPZ5ukITV0
Hate to break it to you, dude, but a Big Mac costs $5.07 in Australia - 62 cents cheaper than it costs in the United States - while every McDonald’s worker in Australia is entitled to a minimum wage of $15.89 an hour and health insurance under its Medicare for All system.
