If it keeps going at this rate, we might, for (I think) the first time in history, be about to witness the first continent-wide youth revolt in Europe - a "European spring" of sorts.
The sheer number of countries where it's **already** happening is pretty overwhelming. I count 8, including 4 with violent clashes:
- France, famously
- Albania (see below) with daily clashes in Tirana and a government building set alight
- Belgium: the French movement spilled over, including riots in Liège
- Italy: "No Meloni Day" student protests since 16 October, turning into riots in Milan, Turin and Bologna
- Greece: students camping in Athens' Syntagma Square over housing and education costs, explicitly inspired by France
- Germany: pupils blockading schools in Berlin and Hamburg in solidarity with France
- Spain: an indefinite education strike in Madrid, with students marching alongside teachers and families
- Serbia: the student movement born from the 2024 Novi Sad station collapse is now running its own list in the 25 October election
And, by the way, the fact it's also happening in countries with close to no immigration - like Albania - goes to show how reductive it is to label these movements, like JD Vance and Trump did with France, as the fruit of "the migrants hav[ing] taken over."
As is often the case, it's much more a story of "it's the economy, stupid." As such, Trump with his war on Iran, has ironically done much more to fuel this (pun intended) than any migrant.
🔴@Helen_Whately, Shadow Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, has claimed £2 MILLION expenses in 10 years.
£300,000 relates to her own travel and accommodation - yet she only lives 50 miles from London.
Her boss, @KemiBadenoch has 3 children, claims £2.7K per month to rent a 6 bed farmhouse & tried to claim expenses for a family holiday.
The country can't afford these @Conservatives.

While thousands of elderly people died unnecessarily in old folks homes, Matt Hancock was dishing out multi-£Million taxpayer funded contracts to...
➡️his pub landlord mate,
➡️his horsey friend,
➡️his sister's company
➡️and the brother of his mistress.
Why isn't he in the jail?
The biggest benefits claimant in the UK.
They claim an eye watering £17,500,000,000 a year.
The same as 4.4m people on benefits.
How?
Because they claim ALL their costs, every wage, every oil rig, every tanker.
Completely nationalised, but the profits are Privatised.
@lookeyhere4 Absolutely no chance, same with the money they funneled to their mates. None of them will pay anything back, none of them will serve prison time, none of them will even resign. That's why they did it, they knew they could get away with it because that's the system they set up.
@implausibleblog Did any of the so called journalists ever ask for details of what the 'protective ring' consisted of, or did they just accept this rhetoric over and over again. Because it was pretty damn obvious to me that they were lying.
Thames Water is borrowing £2.4bn at 10% interest so it can keep funding dividends, even though bosses know it won't be able to repay the money when the company goes tits up. This is corrupt and the government should make it clear that taxpayers won't pick up the tab.
@Planet_Belfast Why has no one asked him what his 'protective ring' actually consisted of. He spouts this rhetoric and no one in the press even challenges what he says. Journalism is nothing but sound bites and lies.
EUROPEANS ARE TAKING TO THE STREETS BECAUSE THEY’VE HAD ENOUGH!
ENDLESS WARS, soaring living costs, declining education standards and RAMPANT POLITICAL CORRUPTION have pushed ordinary people to BREAKING POINT.
@that_girl_heidV They'd rather their idol remained forever single, just in case they get to sway their minds without considering a gay male is never gonna wanna jump your bones. It's honestly the worst of fandom.
Destruyeron Mcdonals, Apple y Louis Vuitton.
Grandes compañías millonarias.
Pero dejaron intacta el restaurante de sopa de Pollo.
Un negocio familiar.
La guerra es contra millonarios, fin.
