Not going to give a review or any spoilers about @rickygervais “Armageddon”, except to say it’s an extraordinary feeling to be sitting amongst a packed crowd, so enjoying comedy, nuance, satire, & parody, plus a huge slice of deep humanity, without worrying about being condemned, hectored & judged by nannying ‘speech gatekeepers’ & the permanently faux outraged ‘word police’ so currently all the rage.

It felt like being 21 again. It felt freeing. And comforting to realise common sense & sanity has not completely left the building. And a huge relief that someone so skilled, genuinely funny & empathetic can give voice to reason & reality so effectively.

@anteater1 @MissBelleKnight @sianharries_ A GP can prescribe melatonin, it’s just a medication to support the child to sleep. A GP cannot diagnose ADHD or ASD they are not trained and you see a GP for what 10 mins an ADHD assessment takes hours and lots of reports and observations of the child

@anteater1 @MissBelleKnight @sianharries_ Usually the diagnosing dr prescribes the medication monitors for a while then passes to the GP. A GP doesn’t diagnose neuro developmental conditions it is done by a consultant paediatrician and a speech therapist input, also a child must display symptoms in more than one setting

@miss_p_rimary Sounds like an issue across the board maybe there is something wrong with the system of making kids sit at desks all day? The content is not engaging enough and they have missed so much learning in the last two years so they have no idea what’s going on
